Improving visibility at Bankwest
Bankwest used YakTrak in a three-month A/B trial to improve visibility of coaching and customer interactions in a highly regulated environment. Compared with non-YakTrak teams, YakTrak users recorded more coaching-related goals, contributed to a 30% lift in revenue, and showed stronger team stability, with non-YakTrak teams experiencing six times higher attrition.
The challenge
Bankwest was shifting from measuring outputs to a behavioural approach and needed visibility of coaching and customer interactions to manage conduct risk in a highly regulated environment.
Program/Trial design
A 3-month A/B trial compared YakTrak users with non-users to examine changes in:
- Coaching activity and behavioural adherence
- Visibility of conduct-related risks
- Team stability and performance outcomes
YakTrak created a solution that:
- Provided real-time insights into customer and coaching interactions
- Enabled transparency across behavioural and conversation frameworks
- Helped leaders identify the origins of conduct risk
- Made coaching evidence easy to retrieve if required (including for regulators)
The results
- 6x higher attrition in non-YakTrak teams, with lack of leader support cited as a key factor
- Teams using YakTrak recorded 2x more goals related to coaching
- …contributed to a 30% lift in revenue
- Greater transparency across coaching evidence and conduct risk drivers
What this shows
Access to real-time behavioural and coaching insights strengthens conduct risk management and improves performance.
Client perspective
“If the regulators came to us and said ‘show us your coaching evidence’ we’d be able to pull it out of YakTrak. YakTrak helped us build risk awareness.”
— Leisl Banfield, Change Manager, Bankwest
